Daddycon2024 was the first physical event for the Dundee Artists Database, held in Generator Projects on the 20th of August 2024. There was music, a shit slideshow and lots of snacks and conversations. The idea was to create a space for artists from all the disciplines represented on the DAD to have a space to come together, meet, chat, laugh and being to build the foundations to be able to support each other in a cross-disciplinary way. We had jugglers meeting comedians, meeting collage-ers, meeting dancers, meeting prop makers, meeting performance artists. Lots of meeting, although the catering was all vegan and gluten free.
Daddycon2024 was able to happen because of support from persons and organizations such as: Generator Projects, Anna Gormezano Marks, The Cooper Gallery, The Scottish Working Class Network, KIST Dundee, Ahmad Deeni, the team at Creative Dundee, Lesley-Anne Kelly, Jody Mulvey, Mark Campbell, and of course all of the daddies!
